Living the Word Out Loud – WOL Church Leadership Conference
The summer camp season is over. That means we at Word of Life lean back and relax a bit, right? Wrong. We’re just getting warmed up. I am happy to introduce you to our 2012 Church Leadership Conference coming October 30-November 2, 2012. This is always a special event, but this year… we’re planning something a little extra.
Church Leadership (not just Pastors)
Last year, we made the decision to broaden our focus to include everyone involved in leadership of a local church—including pastors, worship leaders, youth leaders, small group leaders, deacons, elders… everybody. We believe that this thing we call church is something God intended for us to do together, as a team. We are now striving to create an event that will build leadership teams as well as the individuals, of which they are composed.
Speakers
The preaching is always good at Word of Life. You know that. I’m sure it’s one of the main reasons you come, but this year it’s gonna be extra special with Dr. Erwin Lutzer and Dr. Emir Caner sharing keynote duties at the conference. Dr. Lutzer, always a favorite at summer camp, is the pastor of Moody Church in Chicago. Dr. Caner is consistently one of the most highly rated teachers at the Word of Life Bible Institute. If you have heard these two men before, you know that you are in for a treat. If you haven’t… well… what are you waiting for?
Also joining us for the conference will be Rebecca Lutzer and Morris Proctor, both to teach some strategic breakout sessions. Mrs. Lutzer is a sought after speaker in her own right, and has written extensively in collaboration with her husband. Morris Proctor, founder of MPSeminars, is a very dynamic communicator, and will be leading our Camp Logos extension (more on that in a minute).

There really isn’t a bad apple in the bunch. All of our breakout speakers/topics are killer this year. Whatever your position in church leadership, I am confident you’ll learn something here that you can put to use right away.

Camp Logos
I have long been a user and raving fan of Logos Bible Study Software. It has changed the way I study God’s Word for the better, saving me literally hundreds of hours combing through reference material. Logos is an incredibly powerful tool, and like any tool, it is most useful to those who have mastered it.
A few years ago, I went through the 2-day training course called Camp Logos. It’s been a dream of mine to host a Camp Logos event in Schroon Lake. I’m happy to announce that dream is about to become a reality. The Church Leadership Conference (that you know and love) will come to an end on Thursday at noon. Then, after lunch, we will begin Camp Logos. By bundling these two events together, we are able to offer them both at a substantially lower price.
If you have Logos Bible Study Software, Camp Logos is a great way to enhance your Bible study skills. If you don’t have Logos, then you REALLY need to come see what it’s all about. Copies of the software and resource bundles will be available at a substantial discount.
Price
We have worked really hard at keeping our costs low to make these events as affordable for you as we possibly can. We want you to be refreshed, encouraged, equipped and empowered…not taxed and strained. The Inn offers many different accommodation choices, so you’ll need to call to place your reservation. But, prices are very reasonable. This year you can attend both the Church Leadership Conference and Camp Logos for as low as $251 per person.
